Did you know there’s a ukulele craze sweeping the nation?

Well, there is. And it’s not just in schools... Professional musician Sharon Stacey has introduced hundreds of Yorkshire folk from primary schoolers to pensioners to the tiny instrument that packs a whole lot of power – especially when it comes to team-building.

And now she’s promising to turn Consult Yorkshire members into a Ukulele band – for a one-off performance at The Brickworks in Drighlington on Wednesday 18 September.

Our ‘back to school’ September meeting includes something a bit different to the usual skills session - “Strummin’ and Hummin’: A Ukulele Workshop” with team building facilitator Sharon Stacey.

Sharon will deliver a specially customised version of her Lunch & Learn Ukulele sessions which are designed to allow employees in the workplace the opportunity to enhance their wellbeing through encouraging muscular movement and connecting colleagues through a fun activity.

“‘The aim of the workshop is to learn how to play three chords fluently and by the end of the workshop, play a pop song from start to finish!”

Interested? Well, if you want to find out more about Sharon’s workshops and how they could be an alternative team-building activity option for your clients (not everyone relishes the challenge of a 10k or a tough mudder after all) register for the September session on Eventbrite here.

This is a FREE session – we only ask for you to pay for refreshments (£2.50 coffee/tea and £2.50 bacon sandwich – optional). Our session starts at 9.30am with open networking with Sharon’s workshop starting promptly at 10am.
