Ian is an experienced operational manager with great business and commercial skills that he uses to improve organisations in a bespoke and results focused way.

He gained a PhD from Leeds University and embarked on his professional career with Unilever on their business management scheme. His career started in Operations and progressed into General Management with several blue-chip multinationals such as BAT, Burmah Castrol, Johnson Matthey, SCA, D S Smith and Rexam.

He has worked at senior management levels for over 15 years in many different sectors. He specialises in managing significant and successful transitions in organisations ranging from multimillion pound turnover multinationals to small/medium sized businesses. His work has been carried out in both the Public (NHS) and Private Sectors.

Since 2003 Ian has worked as an Interim Manager with organisations in need of positive change. These include product quality and customer service turnarounds with Ideal Boilers and Rentokil Initial, financial performance improvement at Renold and NHS Lincolnshire, rebranding and acquisition integration at Alliance Boots and acquisition integration with Nederman in Poland.

He has also developed an international start up in recycling and refinanced an SME in cosmetics.

Over thirty years in business Ian has developed the ability to work positively with a wide range of people. He achieves rapid results working with teams and individuals at all levels in any organisation. He gets to the core issues quickly and presents well thought out plans and strategies for innovative improvement. His key skills are tenacity and clear communication with energetic execution and management of agreed actions that are designed to achieve the desired and required positive improvements in organisational performance.
